My name is Linda Jackson, I design stitch-based fabrics and publish my designs for machine knitting, handknitting, cross stitch, needlepoint and rugmaking, under the name of Artika Designs. I have been shipping chart design booklets to enthusiasts all over the world since 1990 and write about colour, design and design software for specialist publications, as well as producing a small range of handmade knitted and crocheted accessories which you can see on a different website.
Since I was a very young child I have always had a passion for knitting, designing and textiles, however in the interests of joining up the threads of my life (!) I should say that in a parallel universe I am a French teacher in the Adult Education sector, and former lecturer in linguistics and French at the University of Surrey.
