Lucy Jones
(November 21st 2008) We are a small fashion label based in London. We produce two womenswear collections per year, Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. We are currently designing our Autumn/Winter 2009 collection and would like to incorporate hand knitted garments into it.
Initially we will create our final designs and require 5-10 sample garments (all one-offs). We would need these knitted in December. We then begin taking orders from buyers from January until mid-march. When we have orders completed we would then have until July to complete the orders, which would, I estimate, be a minimum of 2 of each piece and a maximum of 20 of each piece.
We are looking for hand knitters to make these garments for us. We would pay per piece and of course provide the yarn. This is the first time we will be incorporating knitted pieces into our collection and we are not trained in designing / producing knitwear, so we are starting from scratch regarding yarns and manufacture. We don¹t have any experience in creating knitting patterns so we would have to discuss with you what we need and work from knit samples, imagery and a calico toile.
If you are interested we would love to hear from you. Please contact Lucy Jones on 07775 884 574 or on jones@ranijones.com
