Prices and formats

Booklets: Collection booklets cost £8.50, £8 and £7 depending on the title, and contain stitchpattern diagrams and design notes with ideas for using the designs, variations,different colourway suggestions and so on.
There are three versions - hand knitting, machine knitting and needlework

These "design ideas" swatchboards are places you can come to for inspiration when looking for ideas for a particular project. The latest design swatchboard is for floral fabrics and frond-like designs. I've called it florals and fronds and am still adding to it! This joins the two I did earlier - knitting for men and throws and afghans where I gathered together swatches from various collections that work well for men's garments, and for knitted sofa throws, bedcovers and afghans.

Knitting for men

Designaknit files: are available in Designaknit format for knitting collections. These contain just the stitchpatterns in digital form so you can transfer them to your knitting machine or PPD. These are sent by email. No notes or written material are supplied as these are intended to complement books. Each collection costs £9, or £6 if supplied with the corresponding book

About me, the designer
My name is Linda Jackson, I am a textile designer and publish my designs for stitch-based fabrics for machine knitting, handknitting, cross stitch, needlepoint and rugmaking, under the name of Artika Designs. I have been shipping chart design booklets to enthusiasts all over the world since 1990 and write about colour, design and design software for specialist publications.

I hope you like my designs and I wish you every success with them. My copyright terms mean that design booklets cannot be re-sold for others to use, so if you see them second hand on e-Bay the seller (and any buyer) is breaching my copyright terms. Do let me know if you see this happening!
